Henry Dorsett Case is a low-level hustler in the dystopian underworld of Chiba City, Japan. Once a talented computer hacker, Case was caught stealing from his employer. As punishment for his theft, Case's central nervous system was damaged with a mycotoxin, leaving him unable to use his brain-computer interface to access the global computer network in cyberspace. Unemployable, addicted to drugs, and suicidal, Case desperately searches the Chiba "black clinics" for a miracle cure. Case is saved by Molly Millions, an augmented "street samurai" and mercenary for a shadowy ex-military officer named Armitage, who offers to cure Case in exchange for his services as a hacker. Case jumps at the chance to regain his job as a "console cowboy," but neither Case nor Molly know what Armitage is really planning. Case's nervous system is repaired using new technology that Armitage offers the clinic as payment. Unbeknownst to Case, Armitage pays the clinic to implant mycotoxin sacs into his blood vessels - the same poison which initially crippled Case. Armitage promises Case that if he completes his work in time, the sacs will be removed, otherwise they will burst. Armitage also arranges to replace Case's pancreas and modify his liver with tissue grafts, leaving Case incapable of metabolizing cocaine or amphetamines and apparently ending his drug addiction. Cover of the Brazilian release Cover of the Brazilian release Case and Molly develop a close personal relationship and begin looking into Armitage's background. Meanwhile, Armitage assigns them their first job: they must steal the "Dixie Flatline", a ROM module that contains the saved consciousness of legendary cyber-cowboy McCoy Pauley, one of Case's mentors. Pauley's hacking expertise is needed by Armitage. Pauley's construct is stored in the corporate headquarters of media conglomerate Sense/Net. An anarchist group named the "Panther Moderns" are hired to create a simulated terrorist attack on Sense/Net. The diversion allows Molly to penetrate the building and steal Dixie's chip. Case and Molly continue to investigate Armitage, discovering his former identity of Colonel Willis Corto. Corto was the only survivor of operation Screaming Fist, a microlight-mounted commando force augmented with cyber-hacking capabilities. Screaming Fist attacked a Soviet military base, however in actuality, the raid was engineered by high-ranking military commanders to study the effect of EMP weapons against unprepared troops. Corto's men were slaughtered, but he and a few survivors commandeered a Soviet military helicopter and escaped over the heavily guarded Finnish border. Everyone was killed except Corto, who was seriously wounded by Finnish defence forces upon landing. In Istanbul, the team recruits Peter Riviera, an artist, thief, and drug addict who is able to project detailed holographic illusions with the aid of sophisticated cybernetic implants. Although Riviera is a sociopath, Armitage coerces him into joining the team. The trail leads Case and Molly to a powerful artificial intelligence named Wintermute, created by the plutocratic Tessier-Ashpool family. The clan alternates control of the family wealth and spends their time in cryogenic preservation inside Villa Straylight, a labyrinthine mansion in the Freeside space station. Wintermute's identity is finally revealed - it is one-half of a planned super-AI entity, although its exact purpose is unknown. The Turing Law Code governing AIs bans the construction of such entities; to get around this, it had to be built as two separate AIs. Wintermute was programmed by the Tessier-Ashpool dynasty with a need to merge with its other half - Neuromancer. Unable to achieve this merge on its own, Wintermute recruited Armitage and his team to help complete the goal. Case is tasked with entering cyberspace to pierce the Turing-imposed software barriers using a Chinese military grade icebreaker which is called "Kuang", a virus-like piece of software. At the same time, Riviera is tasked with getting the password to the Turing lock from Lady 3Jane Marie-France Tessier-Ashpool, an unfrozen daughter clone and leader of Tessier-Ashpool SA. Wintermute believes Riviera will pose an irresistible temptation to her, and that she will give him the password. The password must be spoken into an ornate computer terminal located in the Tessier-Ashpool home in Villa Straylight, and entered simultaneously as Case pierces the software barriers in cyberspace - otherwise the Turing locks will remain intact. Armitage's team attracts the attention of the Turing Police, agents of the Turing Registry who prevent AI's from exceeding their built-in limitations; The Turing Registry hunts down hackers who interfere with AIs. As Molly and Riviera gain entrance to Villa Straylight, three Turing Registry officers arrest Case and take him into custody; Wintermute manipulates the orbital casino's security and maintenance systems and kills the officers, allowing Case to escape. Armitage begins to question the mission, and starts reverting to the Corto personality as he relives Screaming Fist. It is revealed that in the past, Wintermute had originally contacted Corto through a bedside computer during his convalescence, eventually convincing Corto that he was Armitage. Wintermute used him to persuade Case and Molly to help him merge with his twin AI, Neuromancer. Finally, Armitage becomes Corto again, but his newfound personality is short-lived and he is killed by Wintermute. Neuromancer is a 1984 novel by William Gibson, notable for being the most famous early cyberpunk novel and winner of the so-called science-fiction "triple crown"―the Nebula Award, the Philip K. Dick Award, and the Hugo Award.[1] It was Gibson's first novel and the beginning of the Sprawl trilogy. The novel tells the story of a washed-up computer hacker hired by a mysterious employer to work on the ultimate hack. Gibson explores artificial intelligence, virtual reality, genetic engineering, and multinational corporations overpowering the traditional nation-state long before these ideas entered popular culture. The concept of cyberspace makes its first appearance, with Gibson inventing the word to describe "a consensual hallucination experienced daily by billions." overdose kunst lives in tokyo-chiba based leftfielder Neuromancer video Neuromancer Audio ovdk

OBE (b. Great Shelford, Cambridgeshire, 23 January 1920; d. Durham, 21 December 2006) was an English children's author. Born in 1920, the youngest of four children, she was brought up in the Mill House in the village of Great Shelford, Cambridgeshire. Starting school late at the age of eight because of illness, she went to the Perse School for Girls, Cambridge, and went on to Girton College, Cambridge, after winning scholarship to read English and History there. After gaining her degree, she left university and moved to London were she found work as a civil servant before beginning to write and produce schools radio programmes for the BBC, where she remained for thirteen years. From 1958 to 1960 she was children’s editor at the Oxford University Press and then, 1960 to 1967 at the Andre Deutsch publishing house. She married Martin Christie in 1962, who never having fully recovered from being a Japanese prisoner of war, died two years later, shortly after the birth of their only child, Sally, who was to become a children's author herself. From 1973 until she died from complications of a stroke in 2006, the author lived once again in Great Shelford, down the same lane where she was brought up. Writing career In 1951 she spent a long while in hospital, recovering from tuberculosis; during this stay she passed the time thinking about a canoe trip she had taken many years before. This was the inspiration for her first book, Minnow on the Say, published in 1955. Like several of her subsequent books, it was inspired very clearly by the area where she had been raised, with the villages of Great and Little Shelford becoming Great and Little Barley, Cambridge becoming "Castleford" (nothing to do with the real town of the same name in West Yorkshire) and losing its university, and the River Cam becoming the River Say. Her next and most famous book, Tom's Midnight Garden (1958), has become one of the classic "time stories," inspiring a film, a stage play, and three TV versions. It was awarded the Carnegie Medal in 1959. The "midnight garden" was, in fact, based directly on the garden of the Mill House where she had grown up. She wrote over 30 books, including the shadow cage & other tales of supernatural,A Dog So Small (1962), The Battle of Bubble and Squeak (1978) and The Way To Sattin Shore (1983). The Battle of Bubble and Squeak inspired a two part television adaptation in Channel 4's Talk, Write and Read series of educational programming. Although not a prolific author of full-length books, Philippa Pearce continued to work over the decades, speaking at conferences, editing anthologies and writing short stories, as well as attending a reception for children's authors at Number 10 Downing Street – the London home of the British Prime Minister – in 2002. In 2004 she published her first new full-length book for two decades, The Little Gentleman............Ann Philippa Pearce the shadow cage & other tales of supernatural ovdk

Ryu aka Ryuta.K presents to us here, its third album solo. It is also one of the members of the duet Overdose Kunst (two albums since 2001) at the sides of another Japanese musician: Takeshi.F. Their creations are disseminated on considerable netlabels… In order to describe the style of its creations, Ryu is definitely more than prolix: “Post sampling kinetic nonhierarchical nonlinear nonequilibrium forth world muziq!" or “A post sampling kinetic dissipative quantum-reduction system off sound in nonequalibrium…", I leave it to to you to carry out the translation of it… With the final one, the music could have been made up well in Europe, or in the USA, the influence of the occident is obvious, and almost even choking, such an amount of one would have liked a freshness very singular arrival of the country of the raising sun. Fascinated by the French language, if one judges of them the titles of his preceding albums, its instrumentarium is composed as follows: powerbookG4, maxmsp, Triton, Jackson guitar, joemeek. Side influences, this one speaks to us about Harry Partch, Luc Ferrari, Jon Hassell and of the musics of the world, of which it affectionate articuli? rement the rhythmic aspect. Also marked by the Western philosophers and artists like Gilles Deleuze, Jacques Lacan, Marcel Duchamp… its step of creation proves inevitably complex: d? construction, castration, Anti-?dipe, notion of Reality and finally a particular use of the stamp seems to be in the center of its concerns.By its singular approach of the noise, Ryu tries to define the sound territories of tomorrow. Registered voter in a phenomenon of universalization of the musical expressions, it seems, like many artists of his generation, released of any national identity! Melancholic person and introspective, These are not muziq remains a very good opus avant- garde, experimental with wish and ideal sound companion for the frantic music lovers who we are. All the remainder is only literature. http://www.emusic.com/artist/11687/11687521.html ovdk

"The Long Rain" ― A group of astronauts are stranded on Venus, where it rains continually and heavily. The travelers make their way across the Venusian landscape to find a "sun dome", a shelter with a large artificial light source. However, the first sun dome they find has been destroyed by the Venusians. Searching for another sun dome, the characters, one by one, are driven to madness and suicide by the unrelenting rhythm of the rain. At the end of the story, only one sane astronaut remains, and manages to find a functional sun dome. ovdk

From castrated man .txt I have ambiguous anxiety because All-Value may be relative and demoted Such postmodenism made define. I found this thing in own musical texture. so those seems confusion as almost ordinary people have no interest . As for musical thing,my term A post sampling kinetic dissipative system of sound in nonequalibrium... This matrix no exist real but as abstract level All -sound happen such jon cage or Gilles Deleuze had expectation. i pulled this term or image by complex physics. i think these were my theme in last my works. .....But maybe i simply like static ambient music.....i don't know http://www.darkwinter.com/dw020.html ovdk
